Vehicle strikes building on Orchard Drive

Company 1 units were dispatched to the intersection of Mill Road and Orchard Drive, for a vehicle accident into a building. Engine 1-2 arrived on scene locating a single vehicle that had struck the building. All occupants were out of the vehicle on arrival. Crews from CFD also evaluated the apartment to ensure no occupants were injured and to further evaluate the damage to the structure. No occupants inside were injured. The Building Code Official was requested to the scene for further evaluation of the damage. After the vehicle was removed from the building, residents of the affected apartment were being temorarialy being relocated until the necessary shoring could be completed. One occupant from the vehicle was transported to the hospital by Ambulance 8-9 (Marion EMS). CFD crews cleared the scene after the Building Code Official completed their work.
