St. Thomas Twp. Garage Fire

Tower 1 was dispatched to the 1200 block of St. Thomas-Williamson Road for a reported garage fire. Tower 1 and Chief 1 responded with five personnel. While en route, Command 18 directed Tower 1 to position in the driveway of the residence adjacent to the involved structure. Upon arrival, Tower 1 positioned as directed and the crew began operations. Tower 1 laddered Sides A, C, and D of the structure and conducted horizontal ventilation on Side C. The crew then made entry into the structure, established portable lighting, and began overhaul operations in the rear of the building. Tower 1 personnel utilized a handline from Rescue/Engine 18 to wet down remaining hot spots. The crew utilized Class A foam from a ProPak to extinguish remaining hot spots and ensure the area was fully extinguished. Crews operated for 2 hours before being placed in service by Command 18.
