Company 1 and mutual aid companies responded to the 1600 block of Clinton Avenue in the Borough of Chambersburg for a reported house fire.
Engine 1-1 arrived on scene to find heavy fire showing from the garage. The crew immediately initiated the Working Fire Dispatch and established Command 1.
Firefighters quickly went to work attacking the fire while additional crews conducted ventilation operations and searched the structure. Primary and secondary searches were completed, with one dog located and safely removed from the residence.
One patient was evaluated on scene by EMS. Firefighters were able to knock down the main body of fire, and crews transitioned into overhaul operations to check for any remaining hot spots and ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
