CFD Completes Second Day of Burn Refresher Training

Members of CFD completed the second day of structural burn training at York County Fire School today. Crews continued working on standpipe operations, forcible entry in live-fire conditions, and operating in basement fires.

Members also covered several additional topics, including different hose line deployments, while spending significant time reviewing fire dynamics and fire behavior.

Having the ability to conduct this type of hands-on training allows our members to refresh skills and tactics that may not be utilized on a regular basis, while continuing to build confidence and remain sharp in the skills needed to operate safely and effectively on the fireground.

We appreciate the opportunity to utilize the facility at York County Fire School and appreciate their staff in assisting us in conducting this training.
