At 1600 hrs today, the Officers and Members of Chambersburg Fire Department are excited to place in service the new Engine 1-1 to better enhance the department's ability to respond effectively and safely to emergencies.
The new engine, replicating the design of Engine 1-2, will provide consistent locations for equipment across all our engines. This engine will be housed at our Headquarters Fire Station, taking over for our 2018 Pierce.
The "Old" Engine 1-1 will now be redesignated as Engine 1-3, serving as our reserve fire engine.
The Chambersburg Fire Department extends our appreciation to our Borough Council and other Borough leadership for their ongoing support in ensuring we have the safest and most effective equipment to protect our community.
