H Sierer and Co. set on fire by a paper fire balloon that landed on the roof of the building around 2330. The firemen managed to save the main floor and the upper side floors, but a great deal of the upper floors: showroom, repair room, roof, and attic full of furniture on the main building were completely gutted.
