CFD units responded to the 100 block of Sunbrook Drive for a fire reported out. Initial units responded and were advised of a fire in a bedroom that was out but may have a patient. Engine 1-1 arrived and confirmed a fire on a mattress that was out and investigated for any extension. Engine 1-2 arrived and were assigned patient care until the arrival of Fayetteville EMS. Crews removed the mattress and other contents while on scene. Units remained on scene for over an hour before Command 1 (Captain Martin) placed all units in service.
