Trash bag fire quickly contained

CFD units and mutual aid were sent to the 100 block of South 2nd Street for a reported house fire. As units were responding, they were advised of multiple callers, all reporting a working fire. Engine 1-2 arrived on scene with nothing showing and their own hydrant. Engine 1-1 and Tower 1 arrived right after and advanced a hose line to the rear of the home, where it was reported to be located. Members located a bag of trash that had been burning on the back of the home and quickly extinguished it. The assignment was held to Company 1 to open up areas of the porch to ensure fire did not extend to other parts of the home. CFD units operated for just under an hour before Command 1 (Capt. Chen) placed units in service.
