CFD units and mutual aid were alerted to the 800 block of 5th Avenue for a reported electrical fire. Shortly after dispatch, Asst. Chief 1 and Engine 1-1 arrived, with normal conditions on the outside. Company 1 units investigated a portion of the building, locating an odor and slight haze. They were able to quickly locate a burned-up fluorescent light in the ceiling and secured the power. Company 1 units remained on scene for about 20 minutes before clearing.
