Shortly before the 6:00 p.m. shift change, CFD and surrounding units were alerted for a reported house fire in the 400 block of East Queen Street. Engine 1-1 arrived
in the area to find a residence with a chimney fire. All units staged until further investigation to confirm the extent of the fire. Once confirmed that the fire was
contained to the pipe only, the box alarm was downgraded to Company 1. Minor work was needed to remove the pipe from the residence, and once completed; the remainder
of the units went in service.
