One of Chambersburg Fire Department's missions is to give back to the public as well as prevention
of incidents. Part of this is being involved with the Safe Schools Program that is in our area. Every other month, staff from various entities to include the Chambersburg Fire
Department, Geisinger EMS, County 911 Center, various school districts, and law enforcement agencies such as State and local police, meet to discuss various happenings within
the districts and state. This month's meeting was hosted by the fire department, and we were pleased to have two special guests from the State Attorney General's Office
speaking about the Safe to Say program. Over thirty-five people showed for the informational session. This program is really starting to take off, and many organizations
are becoming involved.
