| CFD units were alerted as part of the first alarm assignment to St. Thomas Twp, the 2600 block of Apple Way Rd., for a reported house fire. First arriving units from Company 18 found smoke coming from the home and confirmed a working fire. Tower 1 arrived on scene and set up on Side A. The crew threw ladders and assisted with opening up the interior. Engine 1-1 and Engine 1-2 arrived, and both crews staged for a brief time before replacing other interior crews. Both engines assisted with extinguishing hotspots and overhaul. Crews operated for about an hour and a half before being placed in service by Command 18. |
