Crews spent part of the day reviewing new equipment placed in service for standpipe operations. Crews worked on different setups, as well as flow testing to ensure adequate pressure when operating at a fire. Crews took the time to review the different hoselines carried on our engines to update flow testing. As different equipment changes over time, so do the necessary flows to operate that equipment. This allows operators of the engines to know the best pressure to operate a certain hoseline to maximize the amount of water that flows and minimize the crews operating those lines being fatigued as easily.
