Outside fire extinguished

While driving in the area of the 1000 block of Lincoln Way East, Chief 1 discovered a column of smoke in the area of Plasterer Avenue. Arriving in the area, an area was located with material was being burnt. Engine 1-1 was requested non-emergency to extinguish the fire. Engine 1-1 arrived and crews extinguished the fire and wet the area around to ensure no flare-ups. Cres operated for a short time and spoke with the owner on the outside fire ordinances within the Borough.
