Company 1 units and mutual aid were sent to the 200 block of East Liberty St for a reported apartment building fire. While units were responding, Communications advised 5 people possibly trapped. First arriving units found fire showing from multiple doors and windows on the first floor. Crews deployed multiple hand lines to work to bring the fire under control. Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly and worked to search the entire building. Crews operated for several hours, finding hotspots and opening up.
