Wires on Fire

Engine 1-2 and Ambulance 1-9 were alerted to the 200 block of South Main St for wires on fire. Engine 1-2 arrived on scene during dispatch to find electrical wires burning near a transformer. Crews closed off the 200 block of South Main while investigating and requested Borough Electric to the scene. As crews continued to operate, the fire went out and no additional hazards were noted. Fire Dept units cleared the scene and opened the roadway up after operating for about 20 minutes.
