Company 1 units responded to an odor of gas in a residence on Redwood St. Engine 1-2 and Chief 1 arrived to find the residence evacuated. Crews investigated the odor and it was found to be an odor of electrical at the water heater. Crews disconnected the water heater and advised the residents to have it looked at. Crews were on scene for 30 minutes before Chief 1 placed units in service.
