Engine 1-1, Ambulance 1-9, and Chief 1 were dispatched to 600 Norland Avenue for a motor vehicle accident. Information en route was one vehicle into a utility pole. Asst. Chief 1 arrived on scene to find one vehicle into a green electric box. The driver was not injured. This accident knocked out power to surrounding businesses as well as the traffic signal at Fifth and Norland Avenues. The Electric Department arrived and ensured that the power was cut to the box. Asst. Chief 1 released Co. 1, and all units returned to service.
