Just before 8:00 a.m., CFD was alerted to 174 East Queen Street for a land rescue.
Responding units received an update that an outside stairway leading from the second floor to the ground had collapsed while two people were on it.
Engine 1-1, Tower 1, Ambulance 1-7, and Ambulance 1-9, along with Medics from Geisinger arrived to find two patients who sustained traumatic injuries
due to the fall. Both patients were treated and packaged for transport to the hospital. One of the patients was sent via Life Lion to a trauma center.
Command (AC1) released all units once Borough code officials arrived on scene.
