CFD was alerted at 5:43 a.m. for a reported house fire at 308 South Main Street. While en route, crews were advised that the caller’s kitchen was on fire. Captain 1-3 (Command 1) arrived to find a two-story, single-family home with light smoke showing. Crews stretched a line to find a small fire in the kitchen. Quick extinguishment prevented the fire from spreading throughout the structure. After some minor overhaul and ventilation, crews cleared the scene around 6:45 a.m.
