The Chambersburg Fire Department responded to 225 West Vine Street, Catch-up Logistics,
just after 11:30 a.m. for an ammonia leak. While units were responding, dispatch advised that there was an ammonia leak inside of the building near the freezer
units. Command (C1) requested hazmat units from Franklin and Cumberland Counties. Upon arrival, it was determined that the leak was caused by a faulty valve, and
hazmat units from Letterkenny FD, Franklin County Hazmat 28, and Cumberland County Hazmat 200 were able to mitigate the situation. Crews cleared in
just over two hours.
