Fluid Spill

Engine 1-1 responded to investigate an unknown fluid spill in the roadway. Engine 1-1 arrived and located a paving company up the street. They were preparing to pave a section of roadway, and one of their vehicles was damaged, sending asphalt base oil down the road. After assessing the scene and speaking with the paving company, it was determined to allow the product to remain in place, and they would work to clean up the spilled material. Confirmed that none of the product made it into the storm sewer network and turned the scene over to the company.
