CFD units and mutual aid were alerted to the 1200 block of Progress Road for a reported multi-dwelling fire. En route, Communications advised of a deck on fire. Tower 1 arrived first and found a deck on the 3rd floor smoldering, believing the fire was out. Engine 1-1 arrived and deployed a crosslay to the third floor apartment to confirm fire out and check for extension. Crew confirmed no extension and after operating for 40 minutes placed in service by Chief 1.
