Just after 9 p.m., St. Thomas Fire Department was dispatched for a reported hay bales on fire next
to a barn at 2106 Coble Road. Engine 1-1 and Tower 1 were dispatched and out the door within a minute on this assignment. Chief 18 arrived to find hay bales fully involved
with exposure issues. Engine 1-1 arrived and assisted with fire attack while Tower 1 staged. The box was quickly downgraded within about 15 minutes which released Tower 1.
Crews cleared the scene within one hour.
