Shortly before 1030 hrs, Engine 1-1 and Tower 1 were sent to the 7700 block of Nyesville Road for a house fire. While units were enroute, Engine 1-2 was added to the assignment for the apparatus that had not gotten out. Tower 1 arrived and was positioned on Side A. The crew from the Tower positioned ground ladders around the building and began to assist interior crews. While opening the wall on the D side of the home, they found fire traveling in the walls. Engine 1-2 was assigned water supply and set up on Rowe Run Road to fill tankers. Crews operated for an hour and a half on the scene before being placed in service by Command 11.
