Saturday morning started off with Engine 1-1 and Ambulance 1-8 being sent for a Vehicle Accident to the intersection of Lincoln Way West and Franklin St. Enroute Communications advised of a vehicle into a building that struck a gas meter. Engine 1-1 arrived confirming dispatch and beginning to investigate. Asst. Chief 1 arrived and assumed Command 1. Engine 1-1 crew deployed two handlines to suppress the gas vapors until the arrival of the Borough Gas Dept. Ambulance 1-8 crew assessed the occupants of the vehicle. Engine 1-4 was requested due to issues with water supply but staged on arrival. Crews remained on scene until Borough Gas secured the gas and began repairs.
