C Shift kept busy Monday evening

On duty crews of C Shift were kept busy for the evening part of their shift with several responses. Crews also handled 14 EMS responses through the shift. At 2037 hrs., Engine 1-2 and Ambulance 1-8 responded to the 300 block of South Hackberry Drive for residential flooding. Crews arrived and assisted with making access to a utility room to secure the water. At 2201 hrs., CFD units were sent to the 700 block of East Washington Street for an odor of gas in a residence. Units arrived and found it to be a good intent call. At 2249 hrs., CFD units were out again for another odor of gas in a residence. This one sending them to the 200 block of East Washington Street. After investigating the residence, crews determined an issue with the furnace.
