A historical day for Chambersburg Fire Department celebrated the graduation of 7 new firefighters to our ranks. These 7 new members spent several weeks going over all aspects of the job, including, firefighting, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials response, emergency vehicle operations and rope rescue operations. Their training isn't quite over yet, as they will now start their departmental in house training for the next week, going over our operations and equipment. We are extremely grateful to our. Borough Council and Borough staff that assisted with giving us the ability to bring these 7 new members on board.
