In an emergency, every second counts. Having a clearly visible house number can make all the difference when fire, EMS, or police are trying to reach you. To help our community stay safe, the Chambersburg Fire Department offers highly visible, reflective address signs that make it easier for responders to find your home—day or night, in all weather conditions.

Why Reflective Address Signs Matter

Many homes have address numbers that are too small, faded, or hidden from view. At night or in poor visibility, this can delay the arrival of emergency services when time is critical. Reflective address signs are designed to be installed near the roadway, where they can be seen quickly from either direction. These durable signs are easy to read, maintenance-free, and provide peace of mind knowing your home can be found without delay.

How to Get a Sign

Residents can order a reflective address sign directly through the Chambersburg Fire Department. You may order a sign by either contacting the fire station at 717-263-5872 or by utilizing our Community Safety Request Form. The signs are available at no cost. Once ordered, signs can be picked up at the Headquarters fire station, and installation guidance is available upon request. Fire Department members can also assist with installation if requested.
