Vehicle strikes a bridge

Engine 1-2 responded to the 300 block of East Catherine Street for wires down in the roadway. Engine 1-2 and Chief 1 arrived, finding a wire in the road and a large vehicle beyond the bridge. It was found the vehicle had attempted to go under the bridge, although larger than the posted height. It damaged the top of the vehicle, ripping electrical wires down and striking a parked vehicle. Crews blocked off the roadway and requested Borough Electric and Norfolk Southern representatives. Once the roadway was cleared, crews went available.
