| Shortly after returning from the building fire on Wayne Avenue, crews were out the door again for a reported appliance on fire in a townhome at 725 Cumberland Avenue. Engine 1-4 and Assistant Chief 1 (Command) arrived to find a middle of the row townhome with a light smoke condition at the front door. Engine 1-4's crew stretched the 400 ft line due to the offset of the building and found a small fire in the kitchen area. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and Command held the box to Chambersburg Fire Department units only. Units remained on the scene for just over an hour completing overhaul and smoke removal. |
