| Company 1 units and mutual aid were sent to the 200 block of South Second St for a reported appliance fire. Enroute, communications advised that a vaping device had exploded causing a fire but believed to be out now. Tower 1 arrived on scene with a 3 story apartment building with normal conditions from outside. Crews investigated and found a smoke condition on the third floor with a burn patient. The patient was transferred to Penn State EMS for care and crews found no active fire. The building was ventilated and crews wrapped up. Command 1 (Chief Ulrich) placed units in service just after 1:00 AM.
