Brush Fire on Stanley Ave. Extended
CFD was alerted to assist New Franklin Fire Department and multiple agencies with a high, wind
driven brush fire on Stanley Avenue Extended. Engines 1-2 and 1-4 assisted with fire attack on the north and south flank. The fire quickly moved and jumped the road
to adjacent fields.
Truck 1 arrived and worked with Truck 42 and Chief 46 to protect multiple exposures. All said, the fire consumed over 25 acres and went to third alarm brush assignments, second alarm structure assignments, and tanker task force. Additionally, a unique water tender, a manure spreader, assisted with operations on the field fire and was filled by Engine 1-2. Crews remained on scene for approximately three hours. |
