CO Detector Activation


An early morning call sent CFD and Truck 42 to 1427 Philadelphia Avenue for the CO detector activation just after 7:00 a.m. Crews arrived to find levels of almost 500 parts per million in the downstairs boiler room. The boiler had malfunctioned and caused the issue. Personnel secured the boiler, checked all of the patient areas, and ventilated the area. Crews remained on scene for over an hour.
