This week 5 members of the Chambersburg Fire Dept participated in a Critical Incident Stress Management training at the Franklin County Public Safety Training Center. These members learned techniques on being able to assist members of the 1st responder population after a critical incident. These techniques are to assist those individuals or groups with coping after a critical incident and with assisting them in returning to their positions. Courses like this are crucial to assist with ensuring the mental health of all 1st responders are cared for as they see tragic events throughout their careers. Chambersburg Fire Dept continues to provide training to our members to assist with looking out for our own and to be prepared for anything.
