Reported House Fire

CFD units and mutual aid were sent to the 500 block of E. King St for a reported house fire. Chief 46 (Franklin Fire Co) arrived during dispatch to find normal conditions from the exterior. Asst. Chief 1 arrived confirming those conditions. Initial crews found no conditions on the inside of the home and after further investigation found it to be a malfunctioning furnace. Crews confirmed gas was secured and no additional problems found. Crews operated for a short time before clearing the scene.
