Company 1 and mutual aid were alerted to the 300 block of East Queen Street for a reported appliance fire. Shortly after dispatch, Asst. Chief 1 (Myers), arrived finding smoke from the rear of the residence. Engine 1-1's crew stretched a handline to the second floor apartment, finding a small fire under the stove. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and held Company 1 units only. Crews remained on scene for a short time to remove the stove and remove smoke from the apartment. Command 1 (Chief Ulrich) returned all units after 20 minutes.
