| Tower 1 was sent along with the remainder of the first alarm assignment to the 100 block of Pine Grove Road in Company 7's first due for smoke in a building. Engine 7-1 arrived, finding a haze in the building. Tower 1 was the first arriving special service and Command 7 assigned the Tower to assist with investigation and ventilation. The cause of the smoke was found to be a motor that had burned up in a bathroom. Crews assisted on scene for a short time until benign placed in service by Command 7 (Chief 7).
