Just after 1100 hrs, both CFD Engines were sent to the 200 block of Mount Moriah St for a train fire. All CFD units arrived in the area as they were finishing dispatch and crews could not locate a train. Franklin County DES communicated with Norfolk Southern Communications to determine the train was still in bound and be arrving shortly. With the steep incline to the tracks, Tower 1 was alerted to assist. The train arrived and crew advised there was fire reported in one of the containers. Crews found moderate smoke coming from it and crews set up two lines fromt the Tower's waterway. Crews operated for over two hours, bringing the fire under control and working with Norfolk Southern staff on monitoring the train car and moving it. Command 1 (Chief 1) placed the last units in service just after 1300 hrs.
