| As the evening rush hour set in around Chambersburg, CFD units and mutual aid were alerted to a reported House Fire in the 200 block of Larch Ave. Communications advised Chief 1 of a third party call reporting a possible kitchen fire. Chief 1 and Engine 1-2 arrived on scene with a smoke condition from the exterior. Asst. Chief 1 found a fire on the stove that had started to extend into the cabinets. The fire was extinguished and crews began to open up. Command 1 (Chief Ulrich) held Company 1 for overhaul. Crews remained on scene for a short time, turning the scene over to maintenance.
