CFD units and mutual aid were sent to the 800 block of Rustic Hill Dr for a reported house fire. Engine 1-2 arrived with normal conditions and the crew stretched a crosslay to the front door to begin investigating. Remaining CFD crews arrived and pulled additional lines to assist Engine 1-2. Crews found smoke on the first floor and basement area, locating a small fire in the basement. Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly and ensure no occupants were inside. Crews operated for almost 4 hours before clearing the scene.
