"B" Shift was dispatched to 442 Center Street for a possible house fire. Enroute, the 911 Center
advised that the caller could see flames inside with smoke coming from the home. Chief 1 arrived to find a working fire on the second division of a 2.5 story duplex and
requested the WFD. Engine 1-1's crew and Assistant Chief 1 stretched a line to the second floor and found high heat and heavy smoke conditions. Once in the hallway and
bedroom, the fire was quickly extinguished without extension into the neighboring duplex. No injuries were noted, but one family cat was rescued during the fire and will
be fine. Crews cleared after around two hours.
