Fuel Spill

Around 5:00 p.m., Engine 1-4, Tower 1, and Ambulance 1-7 were alerted for a possible fuel spill on Wayne Avenue. Chief 1 arrived to find that the spill started at Interstate 81/Exit 14 SB off ramp and continued down Wayne Avenue, Orchard Drive, and South Main Street. The road was closed down, and Penn Dot and the Borough of Chambersburg street department were notified to assist with sand. The road remained shut down for over three hours.
