Emergency Notification System

| The Borough of Chambersburg instituted a CodeRED Emergency Notification System - a high-speed telephone
communication service for emergency notifications. This CodeRED
system allows us to telephone all or targeted areas of the Borough in case of an emergency situation that requires
immediate action such as a missing child, drinking water advisory, utility outage and any other emergency incident where rapid and accurate notification is essential for life safety.
The system is capable of dialing 9,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers our recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making six attempts to connect to any number. CodeRED will only be used for emergency purposes. The Chambersburg Fire Department asks that every resident in the Borough voluntarily click on this link  to enter their information for emergency notifications.
