Dog Days of Summer
This time of year, as temperatures hover above 90 degrees,
remember to never leave your loved one in the vehicle for any amount of time. Keep them cool and notice the signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
Early signs of heat stroke in dogs include: · Panting and rapid breathing · Increased heart rate with bounding pulses Later signs of heat stroke in dogs are: · Vomiting and diarrhea · Sticky gums · Tented skin (when lifted) · Seeming dazed, disoriented, and depressed · Excessive drooling and increased salivation |
