| As Engine 1-2 and Ambulance 1-8 were clearing from an outside gas odor call in the 1000 block of Wayne Ave, Franklin County DES sent the 1st alarm assignment to the 1100 Block of Wayne Rd for a reported electrical fire. As units were still being dispatched, Engine 1-2, Engine 1-1, Ambulance 1-8 and Asst. Chief 1 all arrived finding normal conditions from the exterior of a hotel. Crews were routed to the rear of the building to an outside electrical transformer, with no active fire. Asst. Chief 1 assumed Command 17 and redirected Co. 1 Engine's to assist with investigation. Crews found a mulch fire that had been extinguished prior to FD arrival around the transformer. The assignment was held to Company 17 and 1 for wet down. Crews operated for about 20 minutes before clearing. Engine 1-1 cleared and responded to a residential lockout at 200 North Main St. |
