Tower 1 was alerted as part of the 1st alarm to 12040 Sandy Mt. Rd in Letterkenny Twp (Company 11). First arriving units had fire running the entire 2nd floor of the residence. Tower 1, Chief 1 and Deputy 1 arrived on scene and began throwing ladders and opening up the building. While operating a Mayday was declared by interior crews. The Firefighter that declared the Mayday was quickly able to remove himself from the building and crews continued with bringing the fire under control. Engine 1-2 also responded, filling for units that did not respond. Engine 1-2 assisted with water supply on scene. Tower 1 remained on scene for almost 4 hours assisting with bringing the fire under control and opening up.
