CFD units were alerted to the Copper Kettle on Lincoln Way East for a reported Building Fire. Ambulance 1-8 was clearing a medical call in the area and arrived to find fire from the rear and through the roof of the building. Crews deployed several lines to assist in bringing the fire under control. Chief 1 arrived and requested a 2nd alarm due to conditions to assist in the single digit temperatures. CFD crews were able to contain the fire to the rear of the business with smoke and water damage in other parts. Crews operated for 4 hours before clearing.
