| Company 1 units and mutual aid were out the door first thing for a reported building fire on the first block of Grandview Ave. Chief 1 and Asst. Chief 1 both arrived during dispatch to find smoke coming from the building. Engine 1-1 and Tower 1 arrived and crews forced entry and began to investigate inside the building. Crews located a fire in the attic space of the building and were able to quickly work to extinguish the fire. Crews from CFD, Franklin Fire and Letterkenny Fire began to open up the ceiling and locate the fire. Crews worked for an extensive period of time to make sure the ceiling was opened up and ensure no other fire was present. CFD crews operated for about 2 1/2 hours until the scene was cleared.
