Company 1 and mutual aid units were alerted to the 100 block of Delano Drive for smoke in a residence. First arriving units found an odor and haze throughout the residence. Crews investigated and determined a malfunctioning HVAC unit was the cause of the smoke. Units operated for almost 2 hours before Command 1 (Capt, Martin) placed them in service.
